Muscles that move the upper extremity are organized into the Muscle Groups shown below. These groups are from Chapter 4 in the MMM textbook. Each group contains a family of muscles that move a specific part of the upper extremity. For example, Muscle Group 2 contains muscles that move the humerus at the shoulder joint.
